WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Drilling engineers, well operations personnel, rig supervisors, drilling supervisors mud motor designers and manufacturers who would like to gain greater understanding of mud motor design and their applications in drilling.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is focused on developing an understanding of positive displacement motors, commonly called mud motors. A mud motor is a simple but elegant machine that has become an integral part of the BHA particularly when drilling shale wells. Even though tremendous advancements have been made, challenges still remain with its use. This one-day training covers concepts, performance, advancements, future designs, and how and when to use mud motors during difficult scenarios. The workshop also includes additional discussion from industry technology leaders. The price of the course includes Positive Displacement Motor: Theory and Applications textbook (400 pages, color) authored by Dr. Robello Samuel.
