SCA ANNOUNCES NEW COURSE: EVALUATION OF UNCONVENTIONAL RESOURCE PLAYS

Subsurface Consultants & Associates, LLC, is a provider of training, consulting, and direct-hire services to the upstream oil and gas industry.  One of our newest course offerings is entitled Evaluation of Unconventional Resource Plays, a five-day course designed and instructed by Michael Zebrowski.  It is intended to provide energy professionals with exposure to recent technologies and practices of the key disciplines supporting successful evaluation of unconventional reservoirs.  As part of this intensive introduction to unconventional projects, participants will have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge and work with various data in a series of exercises.  They will be able to build a broad understanding of the information and tools which lead to better reservoir evaluation.  Identification of “sweet spots” and other techniques will also be reviewed.

Mr. Zebrowski spent 33 years of his extensive industry experience with Hess Corporation and was considered a technical expert in geosciences for all unconventional projects while there.  His expertise encompasses basin analysis and fairway mapping; detailed analysis of reservoir parameters; quality, risk, and reserves reporting; geological, well, and geophysical operations; and pressure analysis.  He also developed a proven methodology to identify “sweet spot” areas for future leasing and development.

The first public session of this course is taking place September 22-26, 2014, in SCA’s Training Center located at 10700 Richmond Avenue, Suite 325, Houston, Texas 77042.
